True followers of this blog know I have a big affection for colorful Pop art! So it’s not really surprising I am super enthusiastic about the work above from Ben Frost. Australian artist Ben Frost is known for his kaleidoscopic Pop Art, mash-up paintings that take inspiration from areas as diverse as graffiti, collage, photorealism and sign-writing.  Subverting mainstream iconography from the worlds of advertising, entertainment and politics, he creates a visual framework that is bold, confrontational and often controversial. His works looks very cheery and happy at first but when you look a bit longer you will find all kind of hidden messages in his work. In case you would love to have a Ben Frost hanging on your wall, your lucky because his work isn’t that expensive for around 400 dollars you can have one of these beautifull prints on canvas on your wall. Buy it here!
